St. Croix Selects Tryouts

St. Croix Selects is a Girls AAA hockey program focused on continuing player development after the winter season. Players receive 30+ hours of on-ice instruction, compete in local AAA tournaments, and have the opportunity to build relationships with players from other local associations.

Girls U8 through U16/19.

U8: 2018 & younger

U10: 2016 & 2017

U12: 2014 & 2015

U14: 2012 & 2013

U16/19: 2011 & older

Depending on the group and their skill level at tryouts. Younger birth-year players may try out for an older team. Please email stcroixselects@outlook.com if that is your intention.

Practices are generally split between Somerset Ice Arena in Somerset, WI and the United Civic Center in Baldwin, WI. Tournaments are primarily held in Minnesota.

Teams generally practice twice per week and receive 30+ hours of on-ice instruction throughout the program.

Teams generally participate in 2 spring AAA tournaments and another 2–3 tournaments after the summer break, for approximately 4–5 tournaments total.

The season begins with practices in April and includes two spring AAA tournaments. Teams take a break from early May through mid-July, then resume practices and tournament play through Labor Day.
